Global Health Education and Learning Incubator at Harvard University
The Global Health Education and Learning Incubator at Harvard University exists to foster and evaluate new teaching and learning strategies that bridge disciplinary fields, educational spaces, and groups of learners. By establishing distinct learning spaces—to gather, to collaborate, to spark unexpected discussions—the Incubator can break down the boundaries that traditionally separate academic disciplines and types of teachers and students.
The Incubator will focus on developing, piloting, evaluating, and disseminating creative, effective strategies and tools for teaching and learning across both classrooms and the global landscape. Its three primary initiatives—the Global Learning Studio, Library and Teaching Co-Op and Pilots and Programs—span discovery, development, and dissemination. We prioritize key knowledge-gap areas that leverage the depth and breadth of expertise across the university, target critical interdisciplinary global health problems, reside at the nexus of broader social challenges and global risks, and represent gaps in new knowledge domains emerging from our interconnections, with the goal of encouraging transformative thinking across disciplines.
